Treatment 1: Tiling

  1. A miracle is a correction factor introduced into false thinking by the Holy Spirit. It acts as a catalyst, shaking up erroneous perception, and reorganizing it properly. This places You under the Atonement principle, where perception is healed. Until this has occurred, revelation of the Divine order is impossible.

  2. The Spiritual eye is the mechanism of miracles because what It perceives is true. It perceives both the Creations of God and the mind’s miscreations. Among the miscreations, it can also separate the true from the false by Its ability to perceive totally, rather than selectively. It thus becomes the proper instrument for reality testing, which always involves distinguishing between the false and the true.

  3. The miracle dissolves error because the Spiritual eye identifies error as false and unreal. This is the same as saying that by perceiving light, darkness automatically disappears. Just as darkness is simply lack of light, sin is simply lack of love. It has no unique properties of its own. The belief of sin as real in its own right is a result of the belief in scarcity, a fallacy from which only error can proceed.

  4. The miracle acknowledges the Creations of God as equals. It is a way of perceiving the universal mark of God in them. The specialness of God's does not stem from exclusion, but from inclusion. All are equal. If they believe they are deprived of anything, their perception becomes distorted. When this occurs, the whole host of God is impaired in its relationships. Ultimately, every Creation of God must return. The miracle calls each to return because it blesses and honors them even if temporarily blind to spirit.

  5. A major contribution of miracles is their strength in releasing you from your misplaced sense of isolation, deprivation, and lack. Miracles are affirmations of Wholeness, which is a state of completion and abundance. Whatever is true and real is eternal, and cannot change or be changed. The Soul is therefore unalterable because it is already perfect, but the mind can elect the level of reality it chooses to serve. It is limited only in that it cannot serve two masters.

    Any sense of lack can be rectified when the mind becomes a medium by which the Soul creates along the line of its own Creation. If you do not elect this for it, the mind retains its creative potential, but is placed under tyrannous control rather than given true creative authority. As a result, it is imprisoned because such are the dictates of tyrants. To change your mind means to give its service to true Authority. The miracle is thus a sign that the mind has chosen to be led by Christ.

    The abundance of Christ is the natural result of choosing to follow Him. All shallow roots must be uprooted because they are not deep enough to sustain you. The illusion that shallow roots can be deepened, and thus made to hold, is a distortion caused by the upside-down orientation which the miracle corrects. As these false underpinnings are given up, the equilibrium may temporarily be experienced as unstable. Nevertheless, nothing is more unstable than an orientation that is upside-down. The miracle will correct all misperceptions.
